New Exhibition Coming in September

In September 2012 there will be an exhibition in the Library in Santarém, 21 artists will exhibit works in the artists collaboration called "Create Portugal". It will be in response to the individual artists feelings and expressions about living in Portugal.

My art works will be a response to the portuguese authoress Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen who wrote many wonderful childrens books referencing her love of the land and the sea of Portugal.
My work is focused on one of her book "Menina do Mar" which includes many visual descriptions in and out of the sea.
Living close to the sea, in Monte Estoril, I am making paintings, drawings and collages using direct references  from  the local coast line and the coast north of Lisbon in conjunction with the descriptions in her book.
